About The Artist
Lorna Catriona Radbourne.
Lorna has been working in stained glass for over 25 years creating windows, hangings, jewellery and indoor and outdoor sculptural pieces. In recent years she has enjoyed working in watercolour and acrylics usually in studies of wildlife. Her latest glass work includes her kiln fired painted glass pieces. In 2022 she illustrated her first children’s book launched in early 2023.
Before becoming a full time artist she graduated from Durham University with a degree in Natural Science, she worked as an education officer in a National Nature Reserve, a Primary School Teacher, and a Playgroup Leader while raising her two children. In 2022 she began working part-time as a Gallery Assistant.
Her work has been sold in various galleries in Scotland and from Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, she has been a regular participant of the ArTay exhibition during the Perthshire Festival of the Arts as well as Perthshire Open Studios from its conception and has organised various Craft Events for over 20 years.
She works from her garden studio in rural Perthshire, where she lives with her husband, cats and fantail doves.
